In July, the sun blazes like an unyielding welding torch, scorching the earth to a fiery red. At dawn, the crisp sound of steel plates colliding echoes through the workshop. The welders arrive early,

but their first task isn’t to start the machines—it’s to fill their water bottles with ice cubes, creating their own “portable air conditioners.” They then wrap themselves in thick canvas workwear,

zipping up and securing the cuffs, like donning a layer of armor. Sweat soaks through their shirts within ten seconds, yet no one loosens a single button: one more button means one less burn;

one more drop of sweat means pushing the schedule forward by another step.

The welding torch ignites, sparks fly, and temperatures of 3,000 degrees Celsius erupt between the steel beams and iron frames. The masters crouch, shift their bodies, and move with clean, precise movements,

fully focused on holding the welding torch, maneuvering it precisely between metal components, controlling the angle and speed of the torch to ensure each weld is even and secure. Sparks fly to the ground, making a “crackling” sound,

but they have long grown accustomed to it.

On a summer afternoon, the hottest part of the day, it is also the most challenging time for welders. They take advantage of their breaks to wipe their faces with damp towels to alleviate the heat and continue their work.

High temperatures can melt asphalt, but they cannot melt promises; extreme heat can evaporate sweat, but it cannot diminish responsibility.

A tribute to the arc light warriors on the front lines of Sichuan Drill God's production line—it is you who weld the scorching sun into steel and weld credibility into the hearts of customers;

it is you who, with each timely weld seam, weld the company's name firmly into the production schedules of the broader market. This summer, the most beautiful sight is not the cool breeze in an air-conditioned room, but the faces illuminated by the arc light beneath your masks.
